I'll disagree with your disagreement. A good deal of the discussion has
centered on how a media personality's involvement with the establishment in
question may or may not be skewing news coverage. (Watching the cable nets
Friday, it seemed like the coverage was skewed in favor of the band, and
that's probably because the lead singer was the only one talking.) If that's
not kosher on a media board, what is? And any discussion on the Internet is
likely to engender some amount of off-topic conversation; you almost can't
help it from happening.
