Should WNEW go country?

Tomorrow (Feb 16th) the NY Times looks at the lack of country radio in 
NYC. Now given the past results of WHN and WYNY a station doing country 
could crack the Top 10 easily and simply make money. Even the 4 FM xmtr 
system that the new WYNY hatched registered a 1.3 even though the signal 
was elusive in the five boros.

So given the fact Infinity has a successful country outlet in Chicago 
WUSN why not fill a void that will be rewarded with decent ratings 
instead of trying to come up with this weeks hybrid rock format.

WLTW shows NYC the same as Podunk, people like bland. Why not give 
country a shot?
