Yes, I was one of Kenny Mayer's "engineers at the transmitter" from
September 1980 until his death in 1982. I recorded his last show on the
Tuesday just before his death; it never aired, and it sat in storage in
the engineering room for at least a year after that. I wish I'd taken it
with me when I left WUNR/WBOS in December 1983, but I didn't. When I
came back in 1986 to do some contract work for WUNR, I looked to see if it
was still there, but it had disappeared.
