Exempt industries



Just curious.  The thread on simulcasts reminded me of an issue I had
when I worked for a station in NH, it had to do with the exempt industry
status of broadcasting.  I don't recall if it was a federal or NH law
that exempted owners from paying overtime to employees in a market
(defined by the labor dept as community where the studio is located) that
was below 100K in population.  Back in the mid 70's I think that pretty
much meant that station owners in NH did not have to pay OT to employees
anywhere in the state with the possible exception of Manchester.  Anyone
know if this is still the case?
