Guy Gannett had sold 102.9 before the switch.

The change was just a business decision:  Fuller/Jeffrey paid the owners of
the frequency enough to get them to make the switch.

It is important to note that recently the owners of 107.5 got a power
increase by moving their tower so the difference in signal quality is not as
significant as it was at the time of the switch.
