COL's have always amused me and I have always suspected politics is the main
reason they even exist. A few examples...

WKLB  Lowell-Boston
WROR Framingham-Boston
WUNR Brookline-Boston
WXKS AM Everett-Boston
WXKS FM Medford-Boston

WLVI-TV Cambridge-Boston
WMFP-TV Lawrence-Boston

The whole thing is a joke.......99.5 said adios to Lowell the day they
stopped simulcasting WLLH, same applies to 105.7 and WKOX........1600 has
never had ANY programming for Brookline, and WXKS AM somehow became Everett
instead of Medford.

Channel 56 at least TRIED 20 years ago with a little Cambridge programming,
but Channel 62 has never done anything geared to the Merrimack Valley. The
list is endless, and my question is, why even bother?


You know what would be more interesting?  Make the ID say studio and TX
location instead...never happen, but would make for some creative ID's such
as BZ Boston-Hull
