Kiss 108 stays away from hip-hop and a lot of pop titles for that matter, so does
that make them AC?  I don't think so.  I think that the Moose skewed a bit older
because the numbers would be easier to sell, and they had no competition.  This is
common at a lot of small market CHR's that don't have a lot of other signals to
compete against.  Look at stations like WERZ-Exeter, NH and WAEB-Allentown, PA.
They do the same thing--play it very safe, but still report CHR because the record
service and the promotional tie-ins are greater than by reporting as an AC.  My
guess is that the Moose will refocus in the light of new competition, and lean on
their heritage.  Obviously, Bangor cannot support two CHR's, but I doubt that the
Moose will be the one that leaves the format.
