You may have a point there. This week, I was watching some videos of one
of my all-time favorite TV shows, =Tom Corbett, Space Cadet=, from the
early 1950s, and I noticed the relative shortness of the commercial break.
Just one sponsor, and just one commercial, then back to the show.
