McDobald's Spots

I was listening to WOKQ/WPKQ a few weeks ago and heard
one of those new "urban" McD's spots.  My first
thought was, "They're mopping up the region doing
country, why flip formats??"  Then, after listening to
the lyrics for a few seconds, realized that it was
just a spot selling Big Macs.

As I undertand it, these spots are to entice the inner
city/urban population to eat at McDs.  Why waste time
running heavily urban spots on country, AC, Classic
Rock, triple A, etc formats?  Why not have format
specific spots?   Too much work/cost?  Any thoughts?
