Au contraire!  It means he's a "good" liar and therefore well-suited to 
being Senate President and/or president of a major university.

C'mon folks, what'd you expect?  Remember that study that came out recently 
that said that (gasp!) politicians lie to the public and their 
constituents?   Duh...they have no choice, the system we've helped them 
create forces them to lie.   What if a politician said that he was going to 
cut services and raise taxes?  At least 40% of the electorate would want 
his or her head.
