I think it would have been 684 and 1512 ;>) The frequencies that line up are
the ones divisible by 90--540, 630, 720 etc. The guy around here who was
betting that the Western Hemisphere would come into line was John H Garabedian.
WBZ would have wound up on 1026 and Garabedian's WGTR would have moved to 1062
(a couple of notches above a new channel that would have been added at 1035).
the 36-kHz spacing would have allowed WGTR to significantly modify its daytime
pattern to put a better signal over Boston, through there was no chance of the
station being licensed to Boston because WILD would have been 27 kHz away on
1089.
I believe that the only stations in this area that would not have had to change
frequencies are WOTW 900, then WEZE 1260, and then WAAB 1440.
