It makes sense if the web is actually reducing their circulation. Ad rates
will drop as circulation drops.
Of course, newspapers have been losing circulation for years before the web
became big.
I still get two Maine papers delivered as I always have. I used to buy the
Globe quite often for the sports page. I now read it online so the web has
cost them some sales.
