I have Ghostscript on three machines because I need it occasionally to open EPS
(extended PostScript) files. However, I think that--at least for the Windows
version--if you don't make Ghostscript your default PDF viewer, you can't use
it to create PDFs. Moreover, the instructions recommend that if you have
Acrobat Reader installed on the machine, you NOT ask to make Ghostscript the
default PDF viewer. Anyhow, I've never succeeded in using Ghostscript to create
a PDF. I consider Print2PDF to have been well worth the $19.95 or $29.95 it
cost. But if I want Print2PDF on additional machines I must buy a license for
each one.
