That's because the music industry is catering to the small demographic of youth.  They want 
to cater mainly to the young age group.  Right now, the greatest number of people, with a 
large amount of disposable income, are the aging baby boomers in that supposedly 
unattractive age demographic.  But nobody wants to try marketing to that group, so they 
aren't buying.
