Actually, WBOQ does get into some parts of downtown Boston. About 5 years
ago WBOQ applied to the FCC to modify their directional pattern such that it
does get into downtown, even though it blanks WRBB in some parts of town.
This whole matter was discussed on LTAR a number of years back.
For example, when I drive into Boston from the North Shore I can get WOBQ
with good reception on Storrow Drive right to the Hacth Shell and and a
little distance beyond. I really have to be around the Fenway area to get
reception of WRBB.
Mind you I don't spend a lot of time listening to either statation at all.
Especially WRBB where they seem to play the same non-descript Rap Music over
and over again.
