"When You're hte Star of the Station"
When you're the Star of the Station, you can criticize management decisions
and the quality of the station's signal on-the-air and get away with it.
Case in point: this morning (06/04) during Howie Carr's insert on WRKO's
morning program, he discussed his producer's new nighttime show
"VB and the Pleasure Pit." Howie made two points: VB should profit from
WRKO's dynamite lead-in of taped shows, and its block-buster nighttime
signal (cue Eric Idle of "Monty Python": nudge, nudge, wink, wink,
you know what I mean).
Both statements were not-so-subtle digs at WRKO that perhaps could not
be made by Rob Fritz or Listo Fisher!
