Re: WUPI/WUPY?



I recall first hearing WKOX-FM in 1969/1970 as a Top 40 station broadcasting from the Framingham site. 

Though they were transmitting a stereo signal, they played practically all 45's, so the programming content was almost all mono except for the few stereo 45's that were manufactured at the time.

Of course, this completely changed with the flip to WVBF, the transmitter move, and a hipper Top 40/Album Rock hybrid format in 1971.
