There are two stations transmitting from Mount Mitchell: cool AAA/NPR
WNCW Spindale (88.7), and religious WMIT Black Mountain (106.9). WNCW
is directional; WMIT is not (and is a grandfathered super-C).
There is no broadcast on Clingman's Dome, which is both the
second-highest peak in North Carolina and the highest in Tennessee.
Mount Washington is, IIRC, number 4 on the list. Then come Marcy and
a few of the other Presidentials, Katahdin and Mansfield, and several
of the other southern Applachian peaks that we don't much think about
up here.
