in addition, the towers are actually on land amidst Vine 
Brook; it's virtually swamp.  when the brook freezes 
solid in mid-winter, you can skate from Francis Wyman 
Road to the towers.  the brook in the area of the 
towers, however, runs deeper and quicker and never 
really freezes solid.  
there'd be more than just water-supply issues with which 
to contend regarding any other use of that area.  the 
wetlands/environmental stuff would probably stop any 
proposed development cold.
   always loved the 'RKO rf on the home phone lines at 
Lord Barron Apartments.  didn't need to have the radio 
on to win contests.  simply pick up the phone, dial the 
first 6 numbers and listen to the rf-cast for the cue to 
call.  press the last digit and it'd usually ring.
