Addams and Doyle

In June 1994 Greater Media hired Tom Doyle away from Fairbanks' 105.7 WKLB, where he had been a voice guy for Loren and Wally. At the same time Greater Media hired Mike Addams away from Oldies 103. They were reunited on WBCS Country 96.9 as Addams & Doyle.

Two years later Greater Media swapped WEBR/Washington DC for 105.7 WKLB. During the summer WBCS and WKLB did a simulcast as the Country Combo. Mike Addams moved across the hall to Magic, and Tom Doyle went back to Loren & Wally.

On September 6, 1996, the new WROR format was unveiled. Loren & Wally stayed on 105.7, but the WKLB call letters, format, and some of the personnel went to 96.9.

Eleven months later, in August 1997, Greater Media swapped the frequencies of Country 96.9 WKLB and Smooth Jazz 99.5, WOAZ - The Oasis. The Oasis name was dropped and the calls were changed. The result was Country 99.5 WKLB (meaning the WKLB call letters were on three frequencies within one year) and Smooth Jazz 96.9 WSJZ.

Two years later, Labor Day weekend of 1999, WSJZ was changed to 96.9 FM Talk, WTKK.
