I flunked! Seems the correct words to "America the Beautiful" _do_
include "purple mountain majesties." This is confirmed by numerous lyric
searches on the Web.

Very strange, as I was taught "purple mountains' majesty" in school and
have always sung the song that way, as I presume most of you have.

I'd apologize to the Red Sox for chastising them for the gaffe that
wasn't, but since they have yet to apologize to me for this season, I
won't.
