Re: Madonna calls for peace at Los Angeles concert



Just for the record: My original post did not offer an opinion on Madonna's
remarks.  I simply pointed them out and asked if there would be a negative
reaction by radio stations for making such remarks at this time.

My comments on the substance of her remarks came only when others defended
her and, in my opinion, mischaracterized the substance of her remarks.

I agree, generally, that we should try to keep our remarks on this crisis to
the media coverage of the events.  I have tried to do that.  From looking
back on recent posts, it seems like the anti-war posters were the quickest
to move off subject, writing lengthy political posts in response to short
remarks included in generally on-subject posts.
