Re: CNN
Wolf was anchoring early evening coverage yesterday. They had Aaron Brown
on for awhile in the afternoon then Wolf was on from around 4 to 8, then
they brought back Brown. I remember seeing Wolf on some during the week,
but they seemed to be trying to feature the new guy, Brown, during
prime-time most of the week. IMHO, this crisis is not making him into the
next Bernard Shaw.
During the Gulf War, I think it was the general consensus that CNN had the
best coverage. They had more people on the ground overseas and had the
advantage of a having a bigger international infrastructure. With the
events this week in this country, they do not have that advantage. In some
ways, they are at a disadvantage because the networks are headquartered in
NY, while CNN's main operations are in Atlanta and Washington.
