When  I worked in Exeter in 1977 it was WKXR AM/FM.....a 
simulcast featuring local programming that included music, news, 
sports and public affairs programming.  Our network was Mutual.  
The stations were owned by the same folks who owned WKXL 
AM/FM in Concord.
