Re: WDER 1320 AM Derry has a web site
They use all 4 towers either day or night. True, only two are lit. Back
around 1987, the FAA allowed multiple-tower stations to apply for permission
to light fewer towers. WKBR-Manchester (5 towers) got permission to light 3
out of the 5. Usually the end towers are needed for lighting. And in the
case of 5 or more, sometimes the middle ones need lighting. Usually 3
towers in a straight line, the two end ones are lit and the middle is not.

all 4 towers still be lighted, (assuming they're over 200' tall) whether
operative or not?
