Steve Allen has died

Just heard on WRKO that the great Steve Allen has
passed away at the age of 80. Allen's son said his
father told him he was tired, went to bed, and he
never woke up.

Allen was original host of the "Tonight Show", of
course, as well as being a comedian on TV, radio,
and elsewhere; he hosted "Meeting of the Minds"
on PBS, and was a prolific songwriter ("This Could Be
The Start Of Something Big"). Farewell, Stevarino.
