RE: WTIC (AM) anniversary broadcast
I believe that the FCC rules specify that calls and COL be mentioned
together with nothing between them. The order in which they are announced
doesn't matter.
Therefore, "WTIC, Hartford" and "Hartford, WTIC" would be perfectly
legal, whereas "WTIC-1080, Hartford," or "Hartford's AM 1080, WTIC" would
not be.
I think the FM part of the ID you mention is not legal. It should
probably have been voiced as "This is Hartford, WTIC-AM & FM"
Please don't hesitate to correct me if I'm wrong!!!!
