This And That

Thanks, Larry, Shel And Bob For Confirming That It Was The Group
"First Class" Which Performed "Beach Baby" In 1974. I Found A
Source In A Local Library Which Said It Reached #4 In Billboard
August 17 That Year And Spent 11 Weeks In The Top 40. I Remember
There Was A Longer LP Version, As Well.

In The Matter Of First Recording Purchased, In My Case It Probably
Was The 45 "I'm A Man" By The Yardbirds, Which, Accoing To The
Source Reached #17 11/20/65. Flip Side "Still I'm Sad." (Some
Really Nizza Guitar Work On "I'm A Man." Who Was It . . . Jeff
Beck?).

Based On My Own Listening I Believe AM-1150 WMEX Last Day As An
Oldies Station Was Sunday, December 3, 1989, And The Last Two
Songs That Were Played Were "Life Is A Rock (But The Radio Rolled
Me) By Reunion And "The End" By The Beatles. "Those Were The
Days" By Mary Hopkin Was Also Played Earlier In The Day.

Again, Based On My Listening Of A Tribute To Sunny Jo White On
WXKS Shortly After His Passing, I Believe They Stated That It
Was He Who Signed Off WWEL, And Signed On WXKS As The Morning
Host Where He Continued For A Couple Of Years.

As Walter Cronkite (Journalist) Said Last Wednesday At The
Conclusion Of His Interview Of John Glenn (Astronaut) On The
CBS Radio Network (Still Functioning, I Understand), " . . .
And That's The Way It Is . . . ")
