One of the craziest I heard was out in San Diego for 91X, the Mexican-licenced
alternative station. They're actual calls are XETRA-FM. They used to bury
their legal in the :35 stopset and it ran as follows.."XETRA, effe' emme',
Baha California, MEH-hih-ko" It was done by a female voice very quickly. The
funny thing is, they've used this same legal, the very same voicer, since they
signed on as alternative in the early 80's. In Mexico, you don't have to
mention the city of licence, but rather the state. The station was in
Tijuana, but the Mexican state was Baja California, hence the ID. Wierd.
