WHAV puts a listenable signal into most of Lawrence proper by day,but at
night,as you might expect for your typical graveyarder, not really
listenable by the time you get to Lawrence.from 7-12 Mid,Mon-Fri,WLLH is
also offering Spanish programming,"Radio Hit Musicale"with Eddie Chico.I
believe this is leased time programming, and when WLLH airs Lowell Spinners
Baseball,U Mass Lowell Hockey,or High School Football(depending on the
season),the spanish programming will start after the game is over.WCAP airs
satellite talk till 10PM,then airs leased time Spanish Religion programs
till they sign off at 12MID.So for the 25% non-hispanic Lawrence
residents, not much English local radio to pick from at night. As of this
past week,BTW,WCCM,WNNW,and WHAV are still at 800,1110,and 1490
respectively, along with their formats. All 3 stations are now in Pat Costa's
building at 462 Merrimack St in Methuen,WCCM moving in a couple of weeks
ago. Mark Watson
