Was this when WPLM was the flagship? The Campbell Sports Network had to be
one of the most rinky-dink outfits I've ever seen. In the late 80s/early
90s I had the pleasure of board-opping the Bruins. Usually, the audio
wasn't too bad early on in the season, but by spring, when the playoffs
were approaching the audio became so static-y as to be almost unusable...I
was ashamed to put something that sounded so bad on the air. More than
once I called up WPLM and got a phone feed of the game, much to the chagrin
of our GM who was not pleased to see a 2 1/2 hr long distance call to
Plymouth on the phone bill.
