"Justice" Prevails Elsewhere

In another annoucement by the Justice Dept. that's been overshadowed by the
CBS Boston announcement, Chancellor Media backed down on its bid to buy four
Long Island stations owned by SFX Broadcasting.
Justice had contested (the first since the Telecommunications Act took
effect in 1966) Chancellor potentially owning 65% of the market.
Another part of the agreement has Chancellor ceasing operation of the SFX
stations by Aug. 1.
