I know from personal experience, that the WHDH sports archives physically
sat around for years at WSBK, and I can't remember them once, actually
using any of it. And it wasn't that large a "chunk" either. Mostly 2 inch,
the rest 16mm it only took up about half of a small room.
It never occurred to me to wonder why we (WSBK) wound up with the stuff
instead of WCVB, I always assumed it was because we did the Sox Broadcasts,
and most of the archives that I saw was Sox stuff.

In a similar vein...
Although I was probably way too young to appreciate it, I understand that
Bob Elliot and Ray Goulding did fill-in during Red Sox long rain delays and
rainouts on WHDH radio. Can anybody confirm this? And do any tapes exist?
