But not for very long-- the guy who owned WVDA sold it right when rock and
roll was really getting some serious airplay in Boston (I listened mainly to
WCOP back then).

Meanwhile, since several folks asked, here is a brief history of WEZE/WVDA,
which at one time began its life out in Lawrence as the late great WLAW...

5/20/47: Power increased to 50 kW, DA-1.
6/17/53: Moved to 1260 kHz at 5 kW, DA-N.
7/??/53: Call letters changed to WVDA
12/2/57: Calls changed to WEZE.

3/21/44:Purchased by Irving Rogers, Harold Morrill & Shawmut Bank.
