That Dick Clark always was a class act.
Around 1954 in Philadelphia, A guy named Bob Horn hosted an afternoon TV
music show.
During an illness, Dick Clark filled in for him. He eventually arranged
to have Horn fired and took over the show. Horn died a broken, forgotten
man a few years later.
The show was, of course, American Bandstand. Clark destroyed people
like Alan Freed and Bob Horn, but don't worry, he went on to enrich our
lives with fine programs such as "Bloopers and Practical Jokes."
