Indeed he was--later. He was part of the morning trio of Roy, Jim, and Gus.
Gus was (and still is) the venderable Gus Saunders, now of the Carter
Network's (WROL et al) Cooking Show. Roy was Roy Leonard who, before working
at WNAC, had done the 2 and 8 date afternoons and evenings at WHDH. When
WNAC became WRKO, Leonard left Boston to become a legend at Chicago's WGN.
He just recently retired. Dixon later returned to 1150 (don't know what
calls it had then) and did country for a while.
