Interesting question. I'll interpret "the best" as being my particular
favorite(s).

The Best:
Larry Glick WMEX/WBZ/WHDH
Nobody has ever been able to duplicate the warmth, humor and sheer
imagination that Larry Glick presented on the radio. This guy turned me
into a child insomniac, looking forward to sleepless nights with the
'transistor' tucked under my pillow. He's genuinely funny and entertaining.
Although I've never gotten into "the business," his influence has stayed
with me over the years.

Most Honorable Mention:

Bud Ballou WMEX/WVBF
Bud had incredible enthusiasm in his music and in his opinions of music,
which he wasn't afraid to share. He once threatened to quit his job at WMEX
if "Make It With You" by Bread wasn't #1 by the following week.

Dale Dorman WRKO/WVBF/Kiss108
Nobody had timing like Dale Dorman. He could trade quips with his
news/traffic people and talk-up a record like I've never heard. He had a
real knack for keeping WRKO's sometimes-stale Top 40 playlist alive.

Norm Nathan: (All over Boston Radio)
What can I say... Norm was funny, entertaining, sarcastic at times, and
never let me feel like he wasn't talking to ME.

Bruce Braddley WBZ
Bruce was unbelievably quick-witted, and just naturally funny. There was
almost a punch line in everything he said.

Current Radio Hero:
Manny Glyn Weeknights 7pm - Midnight, WXRV 92.5
Manny posesses that same sense of humor that I enjoy hearing. He's candid
about his opinions on music and whatever else comes to mind when his mike is on.

There are so many more, but, to me, these are 'the cream.'
