She apparently hasn't learned that, when you report on enterprises or
organizations, they tend to exaggerate and therefore, you should not
accept what they tell you at face value. You have a responsibility to
the readers to fact check the material the enterprise or organization
on whose activities or products you are reporting has provided to you.
In all probability, though, she has no time to check any facts. Also,
it is disconcerting to be corrected by a reader, but getting huffy
about being corrected is inappropriate. If she doesn't learn to tame
her propensity toward huffiness, she won't last very long.
