One other quick story he told me, then I'm gone.  

Bob told me he was on a flight, a woman came up to him and said "I know
who you are"...Bob told me he said yes, you may have seen me on
television, the woman said "Yes, You're Walter Cronkite"!  
Bob said, no, I am Bob Keeshan, Captain Kangaroo, and the woman again
said, " NO, I know you, You're Walter Cronkite"!

I can not express the sadness that I have in Bob's passing,  not only
that we have lost a great man, but we have also lost something that the
new generation of broadcasters will never know, and I am at a loss to
even begin to explain.
