Radio host suspended for comparing gorilla to inner-city students

BOSTON (AP) Sports radio station WEEI-AM suspended popular talk-show host 
John Dennis for two days without pay Thursday for on-air comments he made 
comparing a zoo's escaped gorilla to inner-city students in a voluntary 
school desegregation program known as Metco.

John Dennis of the morning Dennis & Callahan Show made the comments Monday 
after seeing a newspaper photograph of the gorilla standing by a bus stop, 
saying the animal was ''probably a Metco gorilla waiting for a bus.'' 
Dennis apologized for the comment on-air Wednesday.
