Re: Ken Mayer



The phone number was 969-8989, which in those days was WOodward 9 8989.
Mayer did the show from the basement of his house, which I understand was in
the Oak Hill section of Newton, not far from the WVOM/WBOS (AM)/WUNR
transmitter on SawMill Brook Parkway. I don't know whether the line actually
rang in Mayer's house or whether it rang at the transmitter and a leased
line (in addition to the one that fed Mayer's programs to the transmitter)
was used to get the calls to Mayer.
