Poppy's Vs McDonald's

Saw a report on the noon edition of the WCSH news
about this...  Apparently, AM 620 WZON Bangor, has
pulled spots for a new fast food place called
"Poppy's"
Poppy's is fast food resuraunt that claims to have
fresh food, as opposed to prepackaged stuff that sits
in the freezer until used.  Some say this is because
of complaints from McDonald's, but the owner of the
Bangor/Brewer McDonald's claims he did make a call to
the station to lodge a complain, but never asked for
the spots to be pulled.  McDonald's, BTW, also runs a
schedule on WZON.

Could McDonald's corporate office gone above the local
franchise owner and asked for them to be pulled?
