Re: talk radio changes, fill-ins

Just because I can't stand Savage and you don't like him, do you REALLY
believe that Elder and Entercom have any intention of getting rid of his
program? Savage is still one of the hottest properties in talk radio
(although my perception is that listener interest in him has cooled just a
bit since the end of Bush's War). Do you honestly believe that Entercom
doesn't have a right-wing agenda? I don't believe for a nanosecond that
Entercom has any interest in balancing the lineup at WRKO or any other of
its stations that runs a talk format. Entercom has a reputation for
union-busting. I think the company is just as hard right as CCU is and wants
its talkers that way. One or another Entercom station may throw an
occasional liberal into a weekend or fill-in slot just so the company can
say "see how objective we are?" but Entercom has never made any attempt to
conceal where it is coming from.
