No.  Gary Thorne only did play-by-play for the Guides during the team's
first season when WPOR (AM) was the flagship.  I don't remember WIDE ever
being the flagship station for the team.  When I worked there in 1988, WIDE
carried the Sox.  The station may have been the flagship for the team during
its lame duck season in Maine as the Maine Phillies.
