Re: WWZN *Does* Get Out!
I work at WGSR 1570 Fernandina Beach, FL (a Sporting News Radio affiliate,
recently flipping to sports talk). As QSL Manager, I've had a good number of
reception reports from Scandanavia. Not to mention Oregon, Arizona, Texas,
Oklahoma, Alabama north to Ontario, and into NJ... Jamaica (reports sent and
I've heard ourselves once visiting Montego Bay, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba),
and to the southwesterly direction to New Zealand. We occasionally hold DX
Tests when testing out the transmitter after maintenance or taking
measurements, and so on. Many of the reports include recordings, which make
it all sorting through the correspondance even more fun.
We are 10kw nondirectional days, 500 watts PSSA, and 30 watts nights. After
midnight for tests we sometimes use the 10kw for a short period.
