WRBB vs. WNEU
Quick question for the history buffs - does anyone know why Northeastern's
radio station is called WRBB instead of WNEU? I've looked it up and
there's no WNEU AM or FM currently. Was there one when WRBB got its Class
D license (I assume they started as a carrier-current way back in the day)?
I think that's what happened to WMFO...there was already a WTUR (Taylor
University has it now, I suppose they had it then, too). I spotted a
handful of WTUR/Tufts bumper stickers around the station when I volunteered
there. Either that, or the station decided that when they went from Class
D to Class A, they served all of Medford and therefore should have calls to
reflect that?
