Not only is he alive but can be seen almost daily in his storefront 
office in downtown Waltham

Rex made a ton of money in the 1960's as a partner with Crimson Travel 
and then invested in helicopters and tv production.

He came to Boston by accident when Westinghouse sold the former WPTZ in 
Philly and offered Rex either WBZ or KYW Cleveland. Westinghouse would 
later swap KYW with NBC and move back to Philadelphia but who did they 
sell WPTZ to in the first place.
