Bill O noted the sudden and ironic passing of David Bloom with the caveat:

i agree with that one.  Matt's gotten a bit wrapped up in the Matt-experience, 
and David's weekending made the show a bit more fun.  

i use the word ironic in that David, as an embedded journalist, made it through 
sandstorms and firefights and bombs and camel dung to Baghdad, only to die of 
something that might well have happened as he stepped out of the shower at his 
home.  

his co-workers all homed in on his role as a big time family guy.  my heart 
goes out to his wife and daughters.  that's a tough one.
