The Bruins are a distant fourth in popularity among the Boston area sports
franchises.  The teams popularity peaked in the early 1970's.  Hockey, as a
sport, is not nearly as popular as the other major sports and the sports
popularity overall seems to be going down.

As for radio, baseball is the sport that fits the medium best.  I also think
people are less likely to be in front of a TV during the summer than they
are during the winter seasons of the other sports.
