Really?  Makes sense, I guess.  But, like you said,
covering it may not raise rating enough to potentially
cover the costs, but any station not covering it is
bound to lose ratings.

I think I still have old VHS tapes of CNN covering the
Gulf War.  Not sure how their condition is, though.
